Pablo Larraín y Angelina Jolie confirmados para Festival de Venecia con biopic de “Maria Callas”

“Maria”, la nueva biopic de Pablo Larraín, esta vez centrada en la vida de la cantante de ópera Maria Callas, es parte de la competencia oficial del Festival de Venecia. El certamen, que se realizará entre el 28 de agosto y el 7 de septiembre en la isla de Lido, también cuenta con la presencia de esperadas producciones como “”Joker: Folie à Deux,” “The Room Next Door,” de Pedro Almodóvar y “Queer,” Luca Guadagnino, entre otras.

La nueva  película biográfica de Pablo Larraín sobre Maria Callas, “Maria”, protagonizada por Jolie, viene a cerrar su trilogía biográfica sobre mujeres “fuertes” en el siglo XX. Las dos anteriores biopics trágicas de Larraín – «Spencer», protagonizada por Kristen Stewart en el papel de la princesa Diana, y «Jackie», con Natalie Portman como Kennedy Onassis- se estrenaron también en el Lido.

El año pasado, recordemos que Larraín se llevó el premio al Mejor Guion por la notable cinta “El Conde”.
